And so it begins.
I’ve been thinking about building this search engine for over a year. But, I was worried that most people and businesses were too addicted to social media to care.
Social media is dead
Times are changing, though, and there’s a clear shift of people logging OUT of social media. We are all fed up with the fakery, the spam, the stealing of our content and our data. We can’t even see our real friends anymore because, if you don’t pay to reach people, well, then you don’t reach people. Even your friends.
Then there’s Google, of course, destroying everything they once stood for.
It seems that the silicone bros are set on turning our worldwide web into THEIR worldwide web.
So, KindPins is my way of fighting back. And I believe KindPins is coming along at the perfect time.
Google search is useless now
Content creators are suffering, losing traffic every day and forced to pay for ads on social media that barely reach real people anymore.
It’s our fault, of course. We have all been too reliant on Google to search. But, now we can’t find anything.
If I’m looking for “eco-friendly pet accessories” or “vegan fashion shops”, all I get on Google is results that have paid to be seen by me. That is not a search engine!!
A search engine for everything vegan
So, KindPins was built to be simple – to let anyone discover what they are looking for. No algorithms. No bidding for placements. No SEO. No AI gibberish.
KindPins simply tells people where to find what they are looking for, and gives them all the relevant results.
More traffic will go to bloggers promoting vegan products
If someone comes to KindPins looking for a “red lipstick” that does not test on animals, the KindPins search engine will provide a list of bloggers who have reviewed such a lipstick. And, if interested, people can also find local shops selling such a lipstick.
Simple. No algorithms.
More traffic will go to bloggers promoting vegan products, as well as to online and local shops. And all the power of deciding who to buy that lipstick from is in the hands of the person searching.
Isn’t that what the worldwide web was for?
Anyhoo, I’ve said too much already for now.
I have big plans for this search engine. And I’ll get into them in the next newsletter.
Right now, I’m busy raising a little money so that I can start organising a team to help me categorize new listings in the search engine. We want to categorize every single vegan business and blogger as fast as possible.
I believe that KindPins will play a huge part in encouraging more people to choose an eco-friendly, people-friendly and animal-friendly lifestyle. All it takes is to show people where to find this information.
So, if you know of any blogger or business who you think should be listed in our search engine, you would be doing us all a huge favour by letting them know KindPins is open for business.
I hope you will give me time to get it all running properly. It is all manual work.
Like I said, this is just the beginning.
I’m sorry this introduction is so long. I’m just so excited with KindPins and how it will help so many vegan bloggers and businesses.
So, see you very soon. I promise the next one will be shorter 🙂
